I’m attempting to post this from my phone. if you’re reading this, it means I was successful. When it rains it pours, and last week as Adam and I passed the time in our hotel room in Charlotte, my computer apparently got a virus and the Geek Squad guy at Best Buy advised me to just buy a new one as the cost of fixing it isn’t worth it. UGH. We just got our current one TWO years ago.

At any rate, we moved out of the hotel ASAP as there was not even a fridge or a microwave in that joint. I couldn’t stand the thought of another take out meal, so I went to my parents for the weekend while Thomas was away. Jeannie came down too in order to escape hurricane Sandy, so we helped The Old Man throw an office party. It was a grand old time, and I ate a s’more or five.

Thomas, Adam and I are living in a furnished place that was generously offered by a family with an apartment over their garage. We are deeply grateful for a place to call home for the coming weeks, and a really cute place to boot! I will be posting microwave and toaster oven recipes soon as we don’t have an oven here. Did you know you can make shrimp and salmon in a toaster oven?!
